Me, Hannah and Tawakal Hospital - Day 1

Seawal jam 5.15 pagi aku telah sedar dari tidur. The nurse who came yesterday already reminds me that Hannah must be given a glass of water and Ribena before 6.00 am in the morning. Selepas itu, Hannah lansung tidak dibenarkan meminum walaupun setitis air. So, at 5.30 Hannah was already awaken from her sleep because I have to ensure that she is conscious when drinking ribena. At around 7.15 am in the morning, a bius specialist walked in to the room to check Hannah and preparing her for the surgery procedure. From time to time, a few nurses coming in and out taking her blood pressure, body temperature, also giving her some medicine prior to bius procedure by the specialist doctor.

At exactly 8.45 am, 2 nurses together with an attendant came in bringing in a stretcher to our room. I could see Hannah face is changing as she saw the nurse took out the blue uniform and the cap for her. They took her to the Operation Theatre and there I was introduced to the bius specialist, Dr Azilah and she was explaining to me the procedures and steps taken for 'biusing' Hannah prior to the surgery procedure.

I was talking to Hannah calming her as I saw her tears dropping fast from her eyes. The eyes turning red and I know she is afraid. Good thing about the doctor is that she keeps on reminding Hannah to recite Al-Fatihah every time she talked to Hannah. I tried to be strong so that Hannah could be much stronger entering the OT.

But my chest pounding so hard when she told me..

mama.. boleh tak mama doakan Hannah cepat sembuh?

Ye sayang. Mama selalu doakan Hannah. Kan mama sayang Hannah.

Hannah nak cepat sembuh. Hannah said while holding my hand so tight and I could see her tears dropping so fast.

So as my tears inside. But from what I see, she is a strong girl. She tried to calm herself without crying much.

Time passes by. The stretcher was pushed to the OT at 9.10 am. I could see Dr Solah. He also mentioned me not to worry too much about my girl. As entering the OT, I felt fear also as I looked around and could see there were so many gadgets inside the room. Umm.. Hannah then was given the mask and the black baloon for her to suck the gas.

After a few second, she started closing her eyes.

The the Dr told me,

Well Puan, normally budak2 akan meronta sikit la kalau mula2 nak tidur. So Puan jangan terkejut kalau nanti tiba2 anak puan menendang dan angkat kaki. The Dr explained to me with a very low tone voice.

And what she said was true I could see Hannah's legs and hands started to move. As soon as Hannah closes her eyes, they asked me to wait outside by giving me what I can say a templet statement:

Ok Puan. Minta puan tunggu di luar dulu kita nak mulakan prosedur ni. Actually its normal procedures but its advisable to wait outside takut puan tak selesa nanti.

Now here I am inside the room waiting for my girl as I promised her mummy will be around as soon as you open your eyes my love.
